Social paradigms are part of our nature. We are social animals.
15-20 years of depression which meant you had a surplus of useless males. Then you have a huge war, and suddenly had a lot less useless males.
Then things got better.
Then you have a baby boom and 18 years later you have a surplus of useless males then you have Korea and Vietnam.
Now the Millennials are coming of age, also known as the Echo Boomers, and what's happening?
More war. It's not a coincidence.

We are social animals with the ability to change our sociology and to change the social constructs with which we live and/or tolerate. We are not entirely slaves to our "nature".

She misses something very important...
Men are given the choice to be disposable. I dont care what is written about in stories.. Men treat other men as disposable too. Women are seen as disposable as well.
Its only in stories that a man will die in order to save the life of a random stranger (lifeboat example). I wouldnt give up my seat for a stranger..id pull her out of the lifeboat to save myself, most of us would do that. If we as a society cared about women and children first we wouldnt bomb afghanistan into the stoneage(hurting the wesk the most).
I disagree with her point of view.
The only problem with modern women is that men as a whole are mot modern yet either. Men need to modernize to match womens new world view.

The reason we protect women is not because they have the egg and men have sperm so one man can impregnate a thousand women... Its because our children require long term upbringing. If we had children that matured in 1 day then we'd treat women as 100% equal.. The way fish are. Women need to stay in the nest long term to raise the children..so we have a society around maintainging it.

I gave her 3 minutes. She's full of shit. Most of her examples of disposable males are examples of women being infantilized.
Feminism is about equal respect for both genders. Her entire premise is based on the hypothetical of the "lifeboat" situation. Whereas actual questions regarding unequal pay, unequal opportunities and such are based on real numbers and real statistics.

These lifeboat examples kind of prove that women are inferior. Ive walked right on by a homeless woman with her child. I dont give a crap about her. Clearly in my book, she and her child do not come before me.
She is nuts to think that i would let myself drown a painful death just so she can be on the lifeboat. If a bunch of people denied my passage on the lifeboat, theyd have to murder me... Id fight for my survival. Id probably only die to protect my children but i cant say for sure that id suicide for that purpose until im in that situation.

It's pro equality but more or less against feminism as a whole.. It's actually a big f'kin fist in the face of feminism.
It's not pro equality. It rejects dealing with actual inequality with reams of data to back it up in favor of dealing with strawmen and hypotheticals.
She's antifeminist, and her argument is made on behalf of being anti-feminist, not pro-equality.
