Oddly... the kids' actions in that clip almost exactly match the alleged plane story.

You think so? I think they would have been acting up on the plane to get kicked off. Those kids in that clip were not acting up or throwing a tantrum, they were just a little bit restless...

As I said, the amplitude was a bit lower because the stress level was lower, but the cycle seemed to end within 2-3 minutes. Some kids are just like that.

if people think the kids were being bad in the clip, they have no clue what 2 and 3 year olds are like.

my 2.5 year old has flown at least 6 or 8 times by now. we had to start flying ;ess because he was becoming a pain in the ass. or drugging him with children's benadryl. now he's finally at the point where he'll sit and watch a movie on his tablet for an hour.

My parents tried flying when I was 2. I threw a tantrum, threw up all over my dad and then fell asleep.

I didn't fly until I was able to buy the tickets myself.

Ah - Yeah I thought you were talking about the amplitude...

I cannot imagine needing to be somewhere badly enough that I would take my 3 year old on a flight. I can only imagine how awful this would be for everyone involved, myself especially.

I have no doubt they were far worse on the plane - I just thought it priceless that they had so much difficult controlling their kids during that interview.

Interesting that this discussion is coming up today. My family was just invited to Orlando next February. We'd just need to cover the flight and Disney passes (we may be able to defray some of the cost of those, too).

The only problem? My youngest daughter will be 2 years, 10 months old at that time and I live in the opposite corner of the country.

Do what i did. Don't go.

I made a couple similar decisions when my kid was 2, 3. With rare exceptions, it is a nightmare to travel with a sub-5 year old. Forget the plane... there is security, there is travel to-from the airport, there are delays at the airport, GOD it can be a mess that tries an adult's patience. Yet, you're going to ask that of a 2 year old? pfffft.
