Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

republican caught in some kind of sex scandal (was it at least with an adult female?). - Not surprised about a politician being caught in a sex scandal.
News Media not fact checking, or purposefully misleading a news story with bogus information. - Not surprised about the media mis-reporting anything.
What else is there to the story other than Tom Clancy effing up the political career of Jack Ryan!

Hint: His mother is from Kansas. She's an American citizen. That makes her child, no matter where he or she may be born, automatically an American citizen, too.

According to the law his mother did not reside in the US for a long enough period of time to qualify for what you're referencing. You can't go to France for 5 years and shoot back to the states so your that half french bastard can be born American.
