Matchstick Men is one of my favorites. I'm still a fan of Face/Off too (if the icon didn't give that away), though it's more of a cult classic now.

This. And Vampire's Kiss, which is fantastic. It'll open your eyes to the genius of The Wicker Man remake. And for Christ's sake, Leaving Las Vegas. The idea that Cage is untalented arises entirely from his desire to buy castles in France -- they're expensive, so he does shit like National Treasure and Bangkok Dangerous to pay for them. The fact that these are the only Nicolas Cage movies most people have seen reflects more on their awful taste in movies than it does on Cage's acting ability.
Also check out: The Weather Man, 8MM, and Snake Eyes (very underrated).
Cage is one of the best actors working today. Even his bad movies are worth watching. His performance in Face/Off is hysterical.
