I don't think it's fair to simply assume Apple is better than Microsoft or Samsung, they have done nothing to earn that kind of faith. Especially considering how high their profit margins are and how little they contribute in terms of real value.

I agree. Apple as a company is a horrible for other companies and technology in general. They commonly go against standards, they buy technology from other companies without creating any of their own and patent it, and then they use that technology in their devices which they mark up the price to whatever they want because they can just sue anyone who tries to compete (which they have been doing constantly for years now)
Evil company. I consider them anti-technology and anti-consumer. They're the perfect example of how bad corporate strategist have begun to kill industry and innovation

Their patents are proof of how utterly depraved they are. It's sad that so many people buy into hype without thinking, but then again I suppose they get what they deserve in the form of poor products, deteriorating economy, and a weakened industry.

And they aren't the only two either. It's kind of how the corporate world works these days. Currently Apple is getting all the ire, we'll move on to hating another in due time, while never solving the isssue.

There are many others of course.
Corps can get pretty wild after a while, losing touch with everything and anything except maximizing profit and ego. I mean it's a natural and good drive until it becomes extreme and goes on for ages.

Apple is getting the hate right now because it cultivates a certain image. Everyone knows M$ is a douchebag monopolist corporation and it wouldn't surprise anyone if they use slave labor.
Apple pretends to be some nice wholesome company for cool hipsters who want to do good and save the world. When it turns out Apple uses terrible companies to manufacture its products it hurts Apple worse. Especially when Apple has massive profit margins anyhow so it has absolutely no NEED to cut corners to save costs.
