Most bats are rather critical in the annual pollination of many crops. Losing them would be tragic.
bats are also the reason ebola is a thing. i love bats. they're really taking the initiative in africa.

There were tons of little bats where I lived in the foot hills. Bats in general are pretty cool in my book. Eat mosquitos, and they don't fk with people.

I don't understand why we let any carnivore live. More food for us.
By carnivore I mean lions, tigers, bears, sharks, etc. How much of our food are we gonna let them eat?
You know, we used to have a real problem with trolls but enough babies got taken we had to take action.
We should do the same to bears. And tigers. Oh, and crocodiles. Ugh, hate those evil things.
The world would be safer.

Heh, I grew with a massive barn on the property - an actual old school, turn of the century, formerly functional barn - with lots and lots of bats under the eaves and in and amongst the rafters. I am perfectly unafraid of bats - they creep me out less than rats or mice do.
However, I do understand irrational fears/phobias - my big one is snakes, and to a considerably lesser degree, spiders - but really only brown recluses and black widows.
