I doubt Manning will last one entire season, but even if he doesn't he did Denver a huge favor and got rid of Tebow for them.
Manning must be getting premature Alzheimers or something. Playing in the cold a mile high with bad arm, busted back, busted neck, and knees that are just about shot. I guess no one ever likes to admit they are getting old but hell, Miami or SF would be much better places to slide off into geezerdom.

Getting rid of Tebow was the best part of this move.
The Denver offense is going to have to be totally reshaped. THey dont have alot of talent and the people who were there last year will need to learn a whole new offense. That takes time. And the clock is ticking with Manning.
If its 5 years guaranteed this seems like a disaster waiting to happen. But they did get rid of Tebow, so maybe its all good.

I guarantee Manning will be out at least 3 games this season. Also, can you imagine what those Denver winters are going to do to his neck?
Elways likes and identifies with Manning and does not understand Tebow at all. That is why he made this decision. Playing your personal feelings makes for terrible business. And if he thought that Manning can fill the seats better than Tebow, or put his team on more highlight reels, he thought wrong.

Yeah he would have....but it was never a real option IMO.
He just doesn't want to play for the Titans and he doesn't want anything to do with the state of Tennessee at all. Can't say I blame him on either count...and I live in Tennessee.  |

I don't think that is going to be a problem for him. Every team is going to want him as their QB Coach. A bunch will want him as their Head Coach. A few will want him as their GM and EVERY network is going to try and woo him to their network.
His after football career is going to be rosy.
