Try to sell apps for the iPhone without cutting Apple in on the deal and see whether or not they are monopolistic.

How is that different than Amazon, Best Buy, and etc... getting a cut for providing a service that gets your product to the consumer?

Intel is on the way out. Totally see it since intel processors are fail in tablets and phones. Qualcomm might become a major contender I think as far a market share goes

Not that I care. Intel is a CPU Processor company which it excels in

when did apple start making chips again?

last i heard they were using intell chips in their stuff

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_A5 It's manufactured by Samsung

so its a samsung chip, not an apple chip?

It's Apple's chip still, they are designer/owner. They just pay Samsung to make it.

it is samsung, but apple is (slowly) ramping up its own production of chips.
samsung is expected to overtake intel very soon. apple, however, is a game changer.

apple will likely stick with ARM, if they do...
they have alot of competition to deal with...
and as such alot to lose... or gain.

intel is very slow to adapt, but appear committed.
they will retain much of the market, but will have a very hard time in cracking the leadership
unless they change their MO in a meaningful way.
