Let's us give credit where credit belongs. Obama very well could have stopped this by refusing a permit. That it is already started did not mean he could not stop it. The fact that he is taking a beating in the polls has nothing to do with him rushing to take credit for the entire thing.
If you want to talk about a fraud take a look at his trying to put his solor failures on the Repblican's back. There are small lies and big lies. That is a big one. You just have to decide if you can vote for someone who you feel is lying or not.

This pipeline needs to be built. Getting supply out of canada and Montanta/Dakotas is too important.
Obamas objection to the Northern leg seems reasonable....if you want approval, you need to have a proposed route. That doesnt seem very controversial.

This is actually quite funny. Almost everyone wanted the pipeline. They weren't done planning it out yet. So Repubs in the House starting pushing the idea to approve it "right now". Obama basically came out and said "I would have approved in a few months when we were done but now that they're pushing it so soon I have to turn it down."
This is win/win for the GOP. Obama caves and supports it "We pushed him to do it, thank us. He was dragging his feet." He holds firm and turns it down "Look at Obama holding this up. We're trying to get it done."
It doesn't matter what the scenario was, they were framing it to make him look bad. They basically admitted it when asked why they were pushing so hard for it. They can't lose doing it and all the people who hate Obama will just nod their heads not even realizing their talking point about Keystone was all done for scoring points and not out of any real rush or crisis. None of this is hidden, it all played out weeks ago when this issue first popped up. You can check almost any reputable news site to get the story.
