SO I watched "Game Change" last night.

Really enlightening. Much better than I thought it was going to be, but wonder how much of it was truth.
By the time she realized how overwhelmed she was I was actually feeling bad for her. My wife on the other hand had a different opinion "What do you mean you feel bad for her? She's a woman who went to six schools in five years, embraces her ignorance, gets her knowledge from Fox news and now gets paid a fortune for speaking engagements and being a RWN commentator. She won the idiot lottery."
I had a realization in the middle of it. In promoting their agenda, Fox is cutting its own throat. When asked "Why did we invade Iraq" Palin responded "Because Sadaam Hussain attacked us on 9/11."
Um, no.
And where do you think she got that information?
Fox news viewers are regularly polled as the least informed viewers in the nation, and when one of these idiots actually has to debate they're going to get slammed on their "facts."
When they reenacted the Katie Couric interview and Palin couldn't name one paper or news magazine she read and Woody Harrelson screamed at the screen "Just name one modding paper!" I about busted a gut.
The other thing the movie illustrated was how John McCain was actually a respected politician until he had to suck the fat "mod" of the conservative base and is now regarded as a joke.
Perfect illustration of how anyone who wants to be elected by the nations RWN party of insanity is going to have to do the same thing. Santorum and Romney are perfect examples of this.
Romney is sane so he can't get elected.
Santorum is perfectly RWN insane so he can't get elected either.
Hilarious.

One thing the movie reminded me about, despite recent events, like McCain serving Obama up a great big civil liberties destroying shit sandwich also known as the NDAA, was that John actually discouraged some of the dark populism currently fomenting in the Republican party. He actually corrected a woman when she said Obama was a Muslim. Sweet little Sarah on the other hand, loved that shit. Loved when her audiences screamed, "KILL HIM!".
