Also, exactly what media outlet was showing ONLY the first set of pics? I have never even seen that first pic of Martin before this thread.

Your gif shows two sets of pictures. The first illustrates perceived bias by the creator of that demotivational. The second shows actual bias. And then claims it is doing so to "even things out."

No, he was shown in a prisoner jumpsuit. There's a reason lawyers don't bring their clients to court wearing prisoner jumpsuits. Because it's a well known fact that doing so biases the jury. Are you going to pretend like you didn't know that already?

In order to prove bias they need to show that other (more flattering) pics of Zimmerman were available but "the media" refused to show any but that one pic. And even that wouldn't prove it entirely.

Who ever said that other pic of Zimmerman was a mug shot? How do we know he's wearing prison clothes there? Because the creator of that demotivational says so? That could just as easily have been a driver's license photo for all we know.

And assuming that is a mug shot, how often does "the media" print/show pictures of peoples' mug shots when they are doing stories about those people being accused of wrongdoing? 100% of the time or > 95% of the time? Where is all the whining about "media bias" in those cases? Should Zimmerman get special treatment ?

Those are the two pics I saw in the media. now we don't know why they were presented. I don't know or care if the media has a bias. BUT we can be pretty sure the family provided the picture of the kid. And my guess is they picked the ones where he looked most like the baby they loved not thug number 3 in a rap video.

I don't even care about the bias, but you acting like one didn't exist when those pictures were chosen, whether chosen by the news agencies or whatever is pretty funny. See I don't know who chose those pics to display on the news or why. but you do. That's why it was absurd.

Whining? All I said was that it was a fair point. The choice of pictures can and does create bias. You've already admitted that by calling the 2nd set biasing. The only point of dispute is whether the first set is biasing.

The second picture of Zimmerman was on Dateline last night. I had never seen it before then. It could be that is where the maker of the pic got it. I've literally only seen two pics of the guy, those two above. I've seen dozens of the kid. Maybe I'm blind or just naive but it never crossed my mind until now that that first pic of Zimmerman was a mug shot. But it wouldn't surprise me if it was. Like I said, news outlets regularly lead with pics of mug shots when someone who's been in trouble before is accused of wrongdoing.

Again, for all we know "the media" never actually even displayed these two pics side by side at all. This could easily be a manufactured example of "bias" for all we know.
