Good idea? Dumb idea?

So some guys at work are trying to set me up with someone who they work with, we work in different departments/separate buildings and whatnot. Bad idea? I am unsure, I really don't even want to date anyone at all myself so this isn't exactly my idea/my wishes, they're sort of just "doing it"

I wouldn't worry about it, if you truly are in different departments and buildings.

I dated a girl that worked in the office right next to mine awhile back. After we broke up it was a little awkward when I had to go over there, but then she quit and everything was back to normal lol.

I don't think it's dumb, it's one of the top places to meet people, your own place of employment. There are tons of married couples that met by working together.

It sure beats the bar scene.

IMHO the odds of it turning into something good are much lower than the odds of something bad happening. Do you really want to chance it?

Yup totally different departments and buildings, not that it avoids completely of ever having any professional interaction. Highly unlikely for sure, but still... She works as an assist to the guy who I know

Nope. I don't want to chance it. I told them I am not interested, even though I said I thought she was cute and stable and probably a wonderful person, I am not interested. Well apparently I guess they didn't think my opinion on it mattered I guess.

My conscience is telling me to tell you it's a bad idea.

That said I can only imagine the awesome stories that will follow so I think I'm going with "ou should totally hit that!"

No harm in going out for dinner & drinks to see if there's a possible match or future.

But if it's for a casual hit and run f**k, bad idea.

When I was single my motto for life was "stories over standards."
