Also, rumor patrol at Kotaku says Sony is scrapping Cell-processors in favor of AMDs processors, meaning PS4 wont be able to run PS3 games.
Year of PC gaming 2013?

There are only three gaming models that work for me anymore as my gaming days are mostly over, or at least in a deep slump.
1) Very low priced games on Steam.
2) Free Flash games.
3) Free MMOs where I can spend as much time as I want before investing money.
I could tell that my gaming days were pretty much over when I didn't even bother to buy Starcraft II. There is a chance I will go for Diablo III but we'll see. I never did like the console game model.

Publishers have created an environment where used games thrive and they could severely limit it with a good business model but that will never happen. Next generation they will just up the new game price to $70 and then look confused when nobody wants their crap.
Generally speaking the only reason used games are even that great of a thing is you can get the more obscure older games that stores don't stock new copies on. At Gamestop the difference between a new and used copy is typically $5, they just have tons of used games they don't sell new.

I like to rent before I buy if it's a title I don't know.
if I can't do that, guess what no consoles for me. pc all the way and just emulate.

i always buy new anyway /shrug then again I'm back to playing pc games. Console games got boring

This is great news. New console games will now take nt he same pricing as we see for PC games. more reasonable at release and within a year down to half price.

I heard this is only a rumor still right? I read another that the CEO GameStop says the chances of the 360 not being able to play used games is very low
