Do cheaper products at Walmart force other retailers to charge more? If so, and you are worried about costs, should you be arguing to shut WalMart down? Or should you be capitalizing on the entity that is actually able to control prices?
You dont appear to have thought this one through at all.
The answer to your first question is no, making the rest of your questions invalid. Healthcare inflation is only reduced by Walmart's existence in the market. Unfortunately $0.50 of every dollar spent on healthcare is done so through government run programs. Walmart is a just a drop in the bucket compared to government run healthcare.
A large buyer that has market power and can demand lower prices does not affect the pricing of others and reduces overall healthcare inflation?
