and you can't post them cause it's private an d would need consent of both parties lol.

The first PM I received was back in 2001. Asking what character I played in a text based game, Gemstone III. And that it was nice to see more people converting to the "graphic" based roleplaying games. Gawd, I'm old.

lol Gemstones III? Really? I played Dragonrealms for 10+ years. I just recently put my account on hold in January.

I loved DragonRealms too, and played it for a bit, but Gemstone was always my primary game for several years. I didn't think I would ever stop playing and then along came this game called DAoC.

The only thing that sucked, sometimes, with Gemstone was that you could not attack another player unless you had a "roleplaying" reason and the GMs were VERY subjective as to whether or not you were "roleplaying" when you tried to say:
/hide
wait 3 seconds...
/ambush left leg with claid
[So and so] rolls around on the ground writhing in agony with his mangled left leg. (or something like that)
/point
/laugh
(I had a two handed rogue I LOVED)
In other words, they had their favorites.
So you can imagine the GLORIOUS day when DAoC came along and I discovered I could attack anyone...at will! BEEEEYOOOTIFUL.
