i was going to work when i got there everyone was glued to the tv the thing is i use to live about half hr by train from manhattan

Im pretty sure I had just woken up or something and came to the forums to troll before jumping in game and saw a thread like "check out the news"... flipped on the news and watched it all unfold from after the first plane hit till everyone was covered in ash.

Kinda funny what a habit it was to come to the boards while getting ready for work. I guess Facebook and Google+ have replaced them (among other things, of course).

I was in-game chatting with friends when I learned of the attacks. On the hillside by Mayoi. I immediately alt-tabbed and looked up more info online, and shortly thereafter logged out and woke up my brother (I was west coast at the time, so it was still very early) to go out to my parents' place and watch the news together. *sigh*

It was a little strange this year, actually... Several of those planes back then flew out of Boston's Logan airport. And this year, on September 11, I flew out of Logan for a work trip.
