My condolences for you and your family's loss. 47 is too young. It was indeed a blessing to her to have a family that made her final hours happy! May your memories of your time together comfort you and strengthen you during the tough days ahead.

Sorry about this. Mother of a friend of mine just died; he too was to be married, but when it was learned that his mother had only six months, the couple somehow quickly moved the wedding so that the mother could witness it. She died exactly a month later. She was only in her mid 50s if I recall. It's so sad when this sort of thing happens.

It's terrible to lose her so young, but I'm sure that if we were given the choice, her final hours were what many of us would choose. Surrounded by friends and family, filled with joy at a new beginning - it sounds like it was just what she needed to be at peace with taking the next step. I offer both condolences and congratulations, because life is a mixed bag like that.
