She succumbed to life long diabetes. Too much was going wrong at one time and her body couldn't recover.

I got to spend all day Sunday, through the night and all day Monday by her side until she died at 7:16.

She was an amazing person who did so much for so many and was always willing to give more of herself. She was only 47, far too young to have left us. She leaves behind 8 kids and 5 grandkids (1 deceased).

She was, fortunately, able to witness my oldest daughter's marriage as she and her fiance moved heaven and earth to move up their wedding date and hold it in my wife's hospital room. Kingston Hospital was great about letting 20 or so people pack into my wife's small ICU room or stand in the hall outside as the ceremony was performed. My daughter held my wife's hand as the ceremony was performed.

My wife was able to tell me, "I'm happy", after the ceremony was over. She passed less than an hour later.

My daughter and her fiance gave us an amazing gift, for which I'll forever be grateful.

I know with complete certainty, that you were the best partner that she could have ever asked for!

Sorry to hear... Death sucks and when someones 47 its almost unfair.


Not sure I would be to happy if I myself or a family member of mine was in the ICU and 20 people walked in for no reason but all in all at least she was happy.

I get that and im not saying it was a bad thing... Im just saying the point of ICU is close watch and isolation. Wouldnt want that many people around increasing chance of infection. Last thing you need is more contamination when your in the ICU.

So sorry for your loss...it's unimaginable. Sounds like she left behind a wonderful legacy of kids and grandkids though who will keep her memory alive. May your family be able to remember all the good and forget the bad.
