It has been a long time - some of you old timers may remember me - Blackslayer - The Divine - Semiazas - Gaerix
started in Beta - played when everything was going super - remember camping houses and villas just to be able to get one when they first came out -
before there was a Marketplace -
ToD came out - ok not so bad not so good - but kept on - then finally faded to the shadows - came back in 05 - nothing to jump up and down about - but My son and I were talking about old times and got us thinking -
AC iswhere we started and want to know - should we come back -
well I will leave that up to everyone - howz it going now?

Ask Hawkson and Qui Shiwa who are both recently returned and get their impressions  I have run across more 'old-schoolers' who have returned recently and I think it is great!

will do - between my son and I we have 5 accounts and at one time they were all full of eveyrthing imaginable hell I think there is even one or two suits of PPGSA from WAY back when it was really hard to get ....
sometimes it just gives ya goosebumps thinking of the old days -
do they still have an ex chain that works? or is that still gone

A LOT of quest xp passes up now that generally did not use to happen tho. So you will not find elaborate chains like you once did...but I think the 'patron-vassal' relationship is still alive and well Truly...

I've been back about a month and a half, and I've been having fun. I was gone about 5 and a half years. Honestly, if you think you might have fun, it costs less than a movie in the theater to try it out.

Experience chains aren't necessary to make progress anymore. They've upped all of the creature xp and significantly upped almost all of the quest xp. Leveling is the fastest it has ever been.
There are new skills to play with: Two handed combat, void magic, gearcrafting.
There are new slots to fill: Trinket and Aetheria.
There's a new form of spendable xp to learn once you're at the end game: Luminance.
You will find enough to do to keep you busy and having fun for a while.

i really miss this game at times and find myself coming back yearly for a few months right around christmas - then i pvp for a bit, realize the server populations suck, and then quit for a bit. i know that isn't saying much, but the fact that this game still draws us in after 15 years is completely amazing.
