Aye. Always has been, and always will be.

This would seem to be the way of the world, just in general. C'est la merde.

There definitely is 'his' veil of secrecy, but there is also the veil of 'free stuff, I'll act blind as to the source' that his customers are using to dignify their association. There is no way to spread the information than to just spread the information. I was very disturbed with the names that were accepting his gifts, and what Monarchies they were from. These were not new or returning players. You learn a lot about people when something is dangled under their nose.

In a very real way, mmos are one gigantic social and psychological experiment. What do people do, when most of the meaningful consequences for negative behavior are removed? How do they act, when motivated by their own internal views, goals, priorities, and values, and by nothing else? What happens when you largely remove fear of punishment from the equation?
What are people like, really? What is the true nature of man, irrespective of external coercion?
Over the past couple months, I've fallen out of the habit of running my logs when I get home from work. Clearly, I'm going to have to start doing that again.
