There was one in my neighborhood when I was a teenager, a huge black tomcat.

He beat the hell out of all the other mews, except for black female mews, which he would mate with instead.

I remember a nasty one in ... well, if it was a human, we'd call it the lateral side of the elbow... this thing was as big around as a pencil eraser, and easily as deep.

I remember washing the blood off, and gently removing the dried crusty bits with a warm paper towel and soap.
