I don't see a reason to switch to that currency, Being shards are somewhat worthless now.
I dont value Mana Forge Keys at all, In my opinion they're garbage. I've pulled over 200+ keys and never really found something amazing. I have found some good items but nothing superb.
However in my opinion I believe we should switch to Platinum Scarabs & the level 8 ones. As well as MMDs seeing as we use these items more then MFKs

Only if they add weight back to pyreals. I remember the glory days of my mage friends asking me to cash a D note because they couldn't carry that much burden. Good times.

I remember finding awesome majors and giving them to my patron who would give me some crappy majors in return. I raged so hard that WoW was created and the populations were destroyed. You're welcome.

The problem with today's in game currency is this. What is used as fodder today gets changed by Turbine when they change and introduce new things. Plats, Shards, sing Keys, kithless feathers, Mmds, Mana scarabs, pristine shards, just to name a few more recent ones. We as a user based group will always look to increase our net value in game. Some of us have a knack for it some don't. Turbine is always looking to introduce new VALUE items to keep the richer from getting richer so to speak. If the loot system was to remain the same so then the value system would as well. But to keep the field somewhat even they change it as often as needed. Of course this is all my opinion and may be completely off base. But then its my nickles worth.
