Running it? I wouldn't be bothered, I would hand privileges over to like Kewt or just put out a basic application for someone with the experience/knowledge of VN:Boards, I'm sure there would be plenty of qualified candidates.
All in all, it would cost me like $10 to have it added, until June is my down time, don't really have much work for my designer, he's still getting paid, this would keep him busy.
Everyone is bitching about how this is going to suck, thought I would throw in a easy solution.

I love your idea because I love the format of VN... the color scheme and layout... I dislike the format at reddit alot hehe... especially that bright white background and light blue font... hopefully that's something that is account-customizable... but ya for this project I'm definitely the wrong guy for the job... the extent of my html is like <PRE> <H3> <FONT FACE> and <BR> lol... I dunno shit about the PHP, CSS, and SQL that you need to make an exact replica of this site... my friend robby might though... I'll point him at this post and have him pm you if he has the time to do it... but it sounds like the designer you got already is capable and has idle time
