Auction Proxy Card Scrooged by Mythic !!!!!! |

Got back from holidays to find out that my proxy cards (from Mythic-run auction) are useless. The developer stated at the auction that these proxy cards would be good forever and could be turned in at merchant in Throne Room.
Being the crafty trader, I thought I could turn a handsome profit on my two unique tower shield proxy cards. It's pretty sad when you get scammed by the developers, the very least I would have hoped for was a public apology and reason why they were unable to relocate the merchant.
...... (hey! I just had a thought ! maybe they just forgot to do it ! mmmmmm maybe they will read this post !!!)

dont know what developer told ya that but in mid and hib he clearly stated that it was valid fri/sat/sun/mond and no longer good after monday.

Reasons like this are why I am glad I am done with this game. Just another reason to resist ever reactivating.
Plus trolling VN has been more fun anyways.
I mean how dumb is it to have an event at LIMITED times, then on top of that only give the people a LIMITED time to turn in the prize? Why wouldn't Mythic not be lazy SOB's and actually give the item and not some stupid proxy card.

It was clearly designed to prevent/limit exactly that which the OP was trying to do. It was meant as a plat sink, not yet another means for plat sellers to make even more plat to sell for RL cash.
If the OP had any reasonable price on it, he wouldn't have had this problem. He was likely being greedy and sadly his CM probably simply couldn't even hold the money even if someone tried to buy it, and lost out.

The whole point of the auction was to get plat out of the game. People are going to buy plat regardless. If mythic really was trying to stop the plat sellers they would simply ban them, but alas the regular player gets screwed and the plat sellers walk freely.

This is not true. In Gaheris he said once the quartermasters were gone from their live auction location they would be in the main cities. Time limit was not stated.
Below is some old thread about this on Ywain boards, so I'm not the only one thinking there was nothing clearly stating that the proxy cards would be unusable after 48 hours, 3 days or whatever the hell people think they saw. A lot of disinformation and silly ranting about plat when it comes to this subject, which tends to obscure the truth that some people were not aware they were throwing their in game money away. The fact is Mythic as a business should have clearly posted along with the announcement of the auction, the terms of how it was going to work out, this was not done.

I don't know what can be done, but it surely seems like Mythic really didn't have good intentions with how this was handled. If only something legal could be done like reporting them to the BBB or some class action lawsuit. I've heard of a lot of people being burned by this one.

Mythics problem is they put the information out in too many places, and only updated the info on the Herald after the announcement. So if say someone heard about it here on VN they wouldn't of known that on the Herald they said it was only for a limited time.
