In your next update could you perhaps make a new option for the "chat" window. In the current chat windows there's alot of wasted space above and below the tab names and beneath the chat entry box, and the tab names themselves could probably be shrunk a bit. Main reason is I have chat and combat windows separate and next to each other and the "borders" of the chat are large enough to fit an extra 4 lines if they werent there. The default Atlantis UI has a much smaller chat frame but my attempts to alter only the chat window failed miserably.

This is my UI of choice but the chat windows are way to bulky for my comfort, could you add a minimalistic borders option for the chat window?

I have made this screenshot to show what I mean. on the top of the chat window there is about 20 pixels of extra space and roughly 10 pixels on the sides.

I haven't edited that window in a little while as it is a pain to edit. A bunch of the things on it are hard coded and you cannot move them around.


Until then try this:


Browse to you gameclient\ui\custom directory


Open the file called chat_window.xml with notepad


Find the delete the following code block:

I just got home from work but I'll go post the file you need to place in your gameclient\ui\custom directory to get the new Market Explorer window to work with BobsUI.


It should be available withing 15 min or so from my website.

The AddOn_MarketExplorer is now available from my website.

To install the AddOn download the zip file and copy the custom folder from the zip file to your gameclient\ui directory. If prompted to merge any directories answer “Yes to All.” If prompted to copy and replace any previous files, answer “Yes to All”.


There are two styles for the new MarketExplorer windows. A screen shot of the default style is available here:

If it it one of the normal Healer Helper windows, cube, horizontal, or vertical ones, you can just change the basic style of the window. In the OptionsChooser program select:


Healer Helper-> Style -> Basic


Look at Styles 5, 6, 7, and 8 and select the one you want.


Relog and you will see the changes.

The Healer Helper windows do have alot of options so it is easy to overlook one or two.


It was one of the first things I did in the UI as it was the most requested. After I realized there were over 7,000 combinations for the healer helper windows alone with the options I provided, I was like there is no way I am going to make screnshots of all of theme no matter how much I love DAOC players.
