I am a old timer play that is coming back to the game. I was a little confused when I logged in. There were servers Ywain1 Ywain2 Ywain3 etc. What is the difference from those? Are they different servers? Is one better then the other?

They are all the same server =)
The tags only matter for housings.

How many people are normally on at night or during the day?

Don't know the population, but its up there, 3000 or so I think, possibly quite a bit more, the herald doesn't tell you anymore. I'd recommend you don't choose Ywain1. Its the most popular choice cuz its the first one, so its harder to find a house on Ywain1 then it is on the other Ywain servers.

Ok, thanks for the inforamtion. On houses... I hear this alot. I am sorry i really dont know what they are. I played before they came out. Is a house affordable for a lower lvl char or am i going to have to wait until lvl 40 or somethingg?

There are no level restrictions to having a house.

The most useful thing about housing is that you can put a consignment merchant on it, which you can post and sell items on. Check the market explorers to see items listed on people's consignment merchant. Make sure when you do get one that you type the command /listmerchant. Otherwise the items on the cm only show up when people actually go to your house and click on him, which people don't do, they search using the market explorer.

Also you can put extra vaults in your house for storage, and if you buy a house bindstone you can bind in the house and then type /release house when you die. You can also put teleporters, crafting merchants, etc. etc., lots of useful things. Get all your characters bound there and then it becomes the centre for transferring items and plat for all the characters you have.

Getting a house will cost a few plat. I think its maybe a few hundred gold for the lot, and then 1p to put a 'cottage' house on it. But your house will be empty, I think you then need to buy a porch for 500g, and then a consignment merchant for 1p. A house vault and bindstone will also cost you 1p. To have a basic functioning house all you need is about 4p. Which by the way is not hard to come buy these days, especially since you will be in the 40's in about 1/10th the time it used to take you.

You don't need a house to enjoy housing. You can still shop there. You just can't sell anything. But to be honest you won't get anything worth selling until you're 50 with some farming under your belt. You can also join a guild that has a house.

How is it faster to level? Did they just make the xp more per kill? Anyone got a good guild or someone to contact when I get on? I will prob be on tonight.

Yes lots more XP per kill. There are also a bunch more bonuses which contribute to this. There are lots of quests in the tutorial zone which will get you to 14 quickly, though maybe not faster than just killing. The health/endurance/power regen rates was significantly increased, so downtime is very little. Catacombs has lots of quests which give good XP too.
