I'm talking about "named" items, not ROG items. Do CSRs generally assist in these kind of appeals?
I'm asking because 2 months ago I accidentally sold a Mythirian and CSRs restored it few days later.
Yesterday I had the same problem and the CSR won't restore the item.
When I asked why, the CSR wouldn't tell me the reason, he just said, that item restoration depends on a case to case basis and restoration cannot be guaranteed, but it was the EXACT same situation.
So does anyone have experience when CSRs restore items and when not and why? I don't understand their policies (if they have any...)
Any kind of advice would also be appreciated.
Cheers

You're the first person I've ever heard about who had a "sold by mistake" restored.
Which I guess means it's not common, at the best of times.

The first time they saw a mistake and decided to help. Chances are when they saw a second occurrence it started to look like a developing pattern or someone just taking advantage of their good nature so they decided you need to stand on your own two feet.

Yes it does depend on the circumstances. Basically only so much info is kept from your toon/server and if too much has happened than that info is lost and can't be recovered.

I might have thought that as well if it wouldn't have occured on different accounts. I don't think, they cross check every account registered on my name for my appeal history.
I usually don't do these kind of mistakes, I have never sold an item by mistake before and I'm playing since 2002 and now it happened twice in a row :-((((

He even quoted the log line to me, so they clearly could verify the issue that I have sold item X to NPC Y for Z copper at that specific time
I then reappealed with the ticket number of the first restoration from the other account as a reference and the same CSR came back to me just a few minutes ago and said that "after further investigation" the item can be restored. *YAY*
I really hope that I'll never be so clumsy again because it's just a pain dealing with CS :-(((

I had a sold by mistake a few years ago and they restored it. Nothing since however. And this was when CSRs responded in like 30 minutes

Your best bet is to appeal as soon as you sell the item, and after you appeal DO NOT do anything else, dont buy/sell, pvp nothing, just sit until you get a response.
I've sold quite a few items to merchants by mistake :S and every single time I did what I just told ya and got my items back.
Hope it helps

I accidentally sold a named item. It was one of those things as soon as I sold it I realized immediately the mistake. I paged a CSR. They responded fairly quickly. And then he spent 15 minutes or so working on my request, but came back and said he was unable to restore the item.
Though the fact that he went and tried did at least tell me it could be possible in some situations. Just wasn't my lucky day.
Would be nice to have the option to buy back recently sold items.
