Well Nightshades got a nuke that can take someone down pretty quick, usually getting hit 300-400 a pop with capped resists. I've seen those little buggers actually camp berkstead in groups, nuking anything down. We call em wizards with stealth.

Shadowblades, well hell getting perfed in the face with a 2 hander is like getting perfed twice in the face by any other stealther class.

so wheres the love for infiltrators? more spec points is kind've a joke to be honest compared to the other classes. Yes I play an infiltrator, talking to my alliance tonight they said you generally have to poison, run off, re-poison, run off poison more, poison this, do fancy footwork. I don't even wanna fight a tank, and I'm thrust spec.

Maybe mythic should've added in stealth specced X-bow and throwing knives for SB's and Infs when they added in stealth specced nuke for NS's? Maybe Nighshades can wield spears, infs can wield polearms? anything would be nice.

Yes SB's are my favorite though because of the 2h perf. The thing about Nightshades isn't their casted DD, which they nuke down blue mobs for 300 a pop with, its the insta dd's/DoT, which can interrupt and add a little to overall damage.

Infil's are generally stronger at lower RR's, but I don't know of the extra spec points pays off of high RR. Or I could be totally wrong on that, I'm no stealther expert, but that's how I used to see things when I was playing...

I don't ever remember my nightshade hitting for 300-400. Hey i could be wrong, its been a year since i've played my nightshade. In my head it was more like 200-250, maybe 300 max on a caster.

I caster spec'ed one of my shades for a bit and a good temped tank was getting hit for no where near 300 a nuke unless I crit on him, more like 175 to 220.

Let's balance classes on hyperbole and wild stories on VN about how a NS took 20-30s and 2 POW bars to nuke down an AFK tank!


If the tank was not AFK and popped Fury, we'd be talking about 50-60s and 4 POW bars...so he must have been AFK.


A Luri Caster NS in a fully nuking oriented temp (read: can't melee his way out of a wet paper bag), will nuke for about 250-300 a pop against any player with 36% Body. It's also a 3.0SPD spell and even with 435 DEX & 10% SPD I couldn't get it to cast faster then ~1.25 SPD. (Next breaking point is 1.1 for 2.8 SPD spells, but apparently it's either totally unreachable or nearly unreachable for a 3.0SPD spell.)

So it's a very low delve spell, casting much slower then real nukers do, on a hybrid class. I can really see how this compared to a Wiz bolting other clothies for 1k+.
