Everyone is free to comment on my post or post what they would like for future patches.


My post is going to be about the Necromancer class. Starting with a few changes. (I’m not going to whine about pathing or delay of pet skills occasionally I understand that mythic doesn’t have the coders to fix it so I’m not going to bother)


1. Shade form, at first the ghost is really cool looking after a while it gets aggravating. In Shade form you can't: use emotes!!!, nobody can see the gear you have accomplished, and after a while it just looks very bland.


I have a recommendation...

2. A group ABS buff, this is just annoying to have to re ABS my entire group every 10 minutes (Please make it shade castable so we can run and cast it) Also make Champion level buffs Shade castable for the same reason.


3. Usage of new and old items in shade form. i know there are a few new items that aren’t useable in shade form that were recently released such at Xanxicar Remnent Cloak, or the Halloween hat, and many many more. Some items I can understand some on the other hand would be very useful for a necromancer to use. ( Necromancers couldn’t use Costume potions in shade for which was upsetting)


4. Now I know Mythic is going down the list of classes and I’m hoping that necro gets hit with some love but please please please redo our RR5. Anyone who is anyone even yourself will probably agree that the Necromancer RR5 is the most worthless RR5 in the game currently. It may have had its purpose back where there were no buff bot. ( Recommendations: group Life tap Damage shield, or some kind of Defensive ability)


5. Some of our realm abilities do not work mainly Mastery of Concentration, and The Empty Mind. Please take a look into this issue.

Enchanter rr5 comes close. It's the most worthless of the "functional" rr5s imo. Necros is so bad that it shouldn't exist.

I readily admit necro rr5 is even more useless. But Enchanter rr5 is pretty terrible. Maybe make the enchanter rr5 interrupt every tick or something? That would immediately make it a viable RA. But it would need to be on a longer RUT of course.

How is the rr5 useless?

If the pet dies in the middle of a fight you'd want to re-summon it fast, right?

When the pet dies, the necro is generally screwed beyond belief. If the rr5 was insta-cast it might save your bacon 1 out of 10 fights. A necro pet with no buffs doesn't scare anybody in any case. Unless you're fighting an incompetent low-rr stealther with no template, and then how did he kill your pet in the first place?

I just kind of assumed we were talking about a grp situation here.


There was some necro on classic (woodspryte i belive?) that abused pet re-summon hell while soloing. He just ran away when he was about to lose the pet, resummoned it and came back with a fresh pet. You couldn't chase the ghost either, because then the pet would just rape you.

Same is true for anybody that gets rezzed and stands there buffless.. that's why there is such a thing as field buffs... now if only there was an easier way to target the pet as a cleric.

Even in a group situation if a necro loses his pet there is a slight chance we can get our pet back up even if we can its actully faster to not use the RR5 as long as the shade still has Dex's so the RR5 is utterly worthless

Give DF some love.

DF is one of the best things about DAOC, it pains me that there's so little reason to go down there in the current game. One of my fondest memories of early DAOC is clearing out/defending DF after your realm captured/lost it.

IMO remove most or all the steps leading up to each realm's port in point, leaving only a prescience node effect and a few group-killable realm guards near the zone in portal.

Add dragonscale-level items to princes loot tables and/or make items available from merchants using seals as currency. DF PVP best PVP.
