Since last night, someone's created a new character with the same name, so they offered to restore it using two other names I didn't like. He wouldn't offer me an alternative so I told him not to bother restoring. I've spent 3 years on that toon (6L1 - LGM Alch & SC), and I will not play a character with a name I dislike.

Yes, how dare they be willing to restore your character and work with you after you pissed your wife off so bad that she felt the need to delete the character.
I have never had this issue, so I am going to say it probably spurred from you playing said character too much. Take her outside and stop the QQ imo

Deleted it, rerolled another toon with the same name that night so it was taken and appealed hoping they would rename it what he wanted it to be.
