How to appeal?

I need to speak with a CSR urgently about an issue - how do I appeal?
If I type '/appeal Emergency My issue here' then eventually I get a box with an OK button appear telling me they need more info, but a CSR doesn't get in touch. I just want to speak with someone FFS! What do I need to do?

Depending on the wording of your appeal the answer could take a few hours, a few weeks or more than a month. Mythic may not think the emergency is as important as you feel.

A small domestic incident last night led to my wife deleting a toon I've had for 3 years :/

Don’t create any other characters as that could mess up the backup database, then log in with another character and emergency appeal STUCK.
Stuck appeals are answered very quickly (and in a way you are stuck and can’t gain access to your character).
There is a very good chance they will be able to restore your character.
When the appeal is answered let them know that you can't log into a character because it was accidently deleted.

I've spoken with them now. Since last night, someone's created a new character with the same name, so they offered to restore it using two other names I didn't like. He wouldn't offer me an alternative so I told him not to bother restoring. I've spent 3 years on that toon (6L1 - LGM Alch & SC), and I will not play a character with a name I dislike.
I am well annoyed with my wife now - 3 years work down the pan. I also can't believe how inflexible the CSRs are - what difference does it make to them? Now having to start from scratch again. FFS!

I am sorry to hear about your trouble getting your character name back. Please don't let your anger/frustration guide your decision. Appeal again and accept a name. Unless a name is embarrassing, you will grow accustomed to it.
Seriously, trust me. In more ways than you can imagine now, you will later regret not getting the toon restored.
Try again. Perhaps another CSR will let you pick a name or give you choices you like.

That happened to me some years ago when i had to restore a character, name was taken and they offered me to restore my character with other name. Finally a friend from other realm on the same server told me that he saw anyone with my name starting a character on a low lvl zone, he offered plats to him for deleting the character and that was how i recovered my nick in those days.

them being inflexible??... they offered to restore the character you refused... hows that them being inflexible... just because you dont like the name sense your name was taken.. thats not mythics fault...

I'm surprised they offered to restore it for you. You should restore it and pick the name that you liked best out of the two.
