Today I have may found the problem that causes daoc not to work.

When I install Bullguard anivirus it installs "Microsoft Visual C++" <- this seems to cause the problem. Login freezes after I installed this.
If I remove visual c++ i can run the login and come ingame in Daoc.

Next problem is that Bullguard cant run without visual c++. What to to now ?!?

You're talking about the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package, right?


I'll call it the MVCRP from now on to save typing.


Here's what I would try:


1. Uninstall BullGuard.


2. Make sure the MVCRP is uninstalled.


3. Go to Microsoft's website and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86). Here's the link:

Why 2005 instead of the current one? Because BullGuard's website says BullGuard uses the 2005 version.


4. Reinstall BullGuard and tell it NOT to install the MVCRP.


If that doesn't work, I'd go through that same procedure again, except I would install the 2010 MVCRP instead of 2005 from Microsoft's website. 2010 is the current one.
