Hi

I have this problem that have come recently. When I launh daoc (camelot.exe) it will launch the patcher count from 0 to 27770 with no errors. I then press continue and a black box with the Mythic logo pops up and then the game stall's. I cant do nothing from there. The flame over the Y in mythic is supposed to have and animated form but on my computer it freezes and I cant come any further. I even have to reboot the comp to remove (end program).

when I do ctr+alt+del I can see its login.dll that open and cause the problem.

I have tryed to download and reinstall full game client with same result
I have tryed to reinstall Display driver (I have Radeon 5770 HD)
I have tryed to update directx

I have tryed to skip the pathcer usin a batch file sayin: "start login.dll"

I have tryed to replace all single files in /lotm map + pregame files

None of above have helped. Any suggestions pls help

When I run another daoc client with daoc portal for freeshard I have no problems!

I really have no clue how to fix this. I just played the game two days ago but now I cant enter. I havent touched the computer meanwhile

You say the bug is in login.dll, so you need to skip login.dll, not the patcher.


You can skip login.dll with either LaunchPad or Mojo.

Try using the reg download that takes you to char select screen..dont use the same toon to try and quick log in..maybe a corrupt file for that toon. Sounds like you have a conflict..you d/l andy updates or anything else recently ? Try to uninstall the card/drivers for it (one at a time) and let windows reinstall them and use a generic driver (video)

Try running program as administrator, right click the icon and select that option. I have to do that with Vent to be able to talk on it.

I have now tryed using Launchpad with same result
Running camelot.exe as admin and it still fails.
I tryed taking firewall on/off with no luck

I recently did a format c: on both computers. I have windows auto update running. It worked for around 13 day

@Everz Haha no, apparently my girlfriend and computer have merged to stop me wasting time on games

I cant really see other solution than do a new install once again and have a worry that I gotta do the same again 10 days after again

I don't know if you have windows 7 but make sure you are installing it into the program files (x86) folder. I installed it in my /program files and it didn't work because its windows 7 64 bit there.
