I have been getting a Smartheap Library memory error. It causes the game to crash and requires a reboot of the computer to clear. It does seem to help but, not completely, if I alt-tab every 30 mins or so for 30 seconds. Not sure if this is the same error you are getting but, I am also using Vista 64bit. I have been looking for a good fix for quite some time.

i7 CPU 2.67 GHz QuadCore

4gig RAM

Radeon HD 4800 series vidcard w/512MB RAM

All patches are up to date.

**EDIT** This seems to happen 90 - 95% of the time in NF. Not sure if it has something to do with drawing all the char models out in RvR or not.

Try changing your page file to 8000-8000 on both min and max

I'm getting this same problem. Running Windows 7 64-bit with 6 gigs ram and 8gig paging file, not sure what else to try.

The error is something like Out of Memory blah blah, it's garbage.

Anyone able to help?

Same Issue. It is only for DAoC, all other games run fine. SmartHeap out of memory.

Any solutions yet? I've updated all my drivers, turned effects to pretty much nothing, still crashes every hour. Forced reboot.

I had an ati card and updated the drives..when this started happening..after several trials...the ati went in the trash..running a Gforce 9600 atm..and after removing everything that had to do with ATI..and installing fresh up to date drivers for the geforce..ive been problem free for several months..

Could be a conflict with ATI cards/drivers(sounds like it) or could have been a bad card on my end...
