It has never, ever made sense that they kept Mastery of Magery but got rid of Mastery of Arms; it comes across as blatant favouritism towards casters. So, given the major RA revamp that's happening, now would be the perfect time to fix this.

• Mastery of Arms - Increased effectiveness of melee damage by listed percentage:

• Rank 1: 2%

• Rank 2: 3%

• Rank 3: 4%

• Rank 4: 6%

• Rank 5: 8%

• Rank 6: 10%

• Rank 7: 12%

• Rank 8: 14%

• Rank 9: 16%

Mhmm, sure. Let tanks get some more deeps.

Just make sure my casters can spend points into a RA, that rises my defense from... ugh... 0% block/parry/evade to a certain amount.

You mean...like Physical Defence, and being a long way out of melee range? Casters have Wild Power, Mastery of Magery and Physical Defence; Melees have Mastery of Pain and Avoidance Of Magic but no equivalent of Mastery of Magery. That's a clear, undeniable imbalance.

No, it's not.

The reason no RA exists is because in modern DAoC, most tanks should be able to kill a caster if they close the gap. This can be difficult to do if you are facing a skilled player, but I'm pretty sure that's why it exists.

Yeah that does seem unfair, but let's fix it by getting rid of Mastery of Magery instead.

That wouldn't help assassins. Assassins basically have capped evade at 50, between their temps, bots and the hard cap on evade rate.

The people that would be helped by bringing back Dodger are people like song classes, archers, light tanks.

the old mastery of arms ra did not boost your melee dmg, it increased your attack speed without touching style dmg - which was much better regarding overall dps.
