I tried getting some help over at the UI Boards, but it seems like no one even goes over there, and I don't feel like waiting 2 weeks for a response, if anyone can even help me there..

I wanted to use the Cowbell Podmod, because I used Derida's back in 05, and I loved it. And the Spell Icons that the UI has I like. I got the Icons, and tried to just replace the Mythic ones in the Icon folder.. Didn't work out, all my spells were blacked out. Can anyone help me find a UI that has these spell Icons, as well as a decent UI? I have tried Bob's, and for some reason or another he does not have them in his options. I did though, figure out that for some reason, these spell icons crash my game client upon login. I tried them with different UIs.

Any help would be much appreciated. Here is a pic of what Icons I am talking about.

I have a Derida's derived UI where you can select your icons: http://www.filefront.com/17206667/ArmynUI.rar/ Give it a try.

something you can try, and seems to work.
If you have the entire collection of artwork for the spells, all the dropped
items, combat, and whatever else there is, you can take those, put the in
a folder called 'custom' (without quotes) off the UI main folder.
Then, go into options, and change atlantis skin to custom.

Mythic automatically replaces everything thats not in the folder. But, since
your Icon sets are there, it'll use those.

That is great to know! Very handy, thanks!

Can I just use the spell Icons? Or do I need all of them?

If the files are not there, Mythic uses its own.. So, yes, it should work that way.

While the above method works great, what you may find with that old icon file is that:

1) it is named different than the current naming convention, so the game will not see a file it recognizes and will use the default icons instead or

2) since the placement of the icons in your sample file are different than the placement of icons in 'live' icon files, you will likely get incorrect icons shown on screen.

Note, this is assuming you are going to try to use the OLD icon files. If you find a icon set you like, then by all means, use the instructions above and it should work.

Your # 1 theory just happened. I replaced ALL the SPL_ files with the ones I wanted, in my OP SS. And it does not work. How do I fix this? And get it into the correct format?

The old icon files are no longer supported. They had individual sections for each level of a spell, such as the speed spell on that sheet you are using as an example. Today, ONE base icon is used, then a border and/or widget of the appropriate color for the level of the spell is applied to the base icon. This results in a lesser number of icon files.

You are going to need to find a border, widget, and icon style you like the most and place those into the Custom folder, using the method used in above posts.
