and Mauler is pretty fast for all 3 realms (doesn't kill the fastest, but hardly any downtime)



I would add the following to that list:

Minstrel (pet, regen songs), Heretic (see Reaver), Paladin (2H, chants)

VW (hybrid with LT and good melee)

Skald (2H with songs)

Archer is the best leveling class and needs almost nothing armor wise. You will kill most things before they even get to you.

If you can get semi-decent gear I always found melee classes to be much faster to level than most casters. You have almost no downtime in comparison to waiting for your mana to regen. As long as you stick to yellow/OJ you wont need to wait for healing that often and endo regens very fast, I often just go on autoattack and let it regen without ever stoppiing. Not to mention you don't need to worry too much about kiting space(which kills casters in dungeons).

When I level casters I die every once in a while, almost never die on a melee toon until I start doing more of the top level stuff for gear and whatnot.


Only problem nowdays is the gear level nerf, was easy to buy level 50 jewelry cheap in housing to fill out your stats.

Melee leveling is far from slow if you follow the basic guidelines, the MOST basic of which being that you need gear and buffs to level fast while casters really don't. Beg for gold and buy buff pots (don't forget endo). Get new weapons every 3-5 levels once your trainer stops giving them to you.

You'll be 4 shotting OJs all the way to 50.



Thats pretty weak if your basic guidlines build on begging for gold! Although it does seem to fit to the original post (Just came back and made a BD just because they always seem to level very fast. I dont really wanna play the BD)

The pots shouldn't break your bank. I make and sell the Strong Draught of Invig. for cost (well, plus 2 gold towards my house rent) to try to keep the essential one affordable.

I like returnees. Hell, I love noobs. They keep the game from dying. And that is my idea of a solid. WB.
