Is there any chance that we could posibly see this in Dark Age of Camelot's future?


1.A Postal System (mailbox) similar to the one in Warhammer Online. To be able to mail things to your other characters would save alot of time and pain. Relying on other players to make a trade is too risky. No need for an Auction House though. The Housing System and merchants work great.


2.A UI that's more user friendly like the one built for Warhammer Online.

The Looting System prevents ninjas.

The Party/WarBand Grouping System saves hours of time looking for groups/warbands to join.

The Layout Editor allows you to move, multiply or hide any object on your screen.

It is the most customizable UI I've ever encountered.

BOB's UI is great and it's the best Usermade UI I've ever used, but its time to for an overhual.

3. A new engine, perhaps the Cry 2 engine to make DAOC look more modern. Mainly for the PvE side. Monsters, environment, ect.

Ofcourse having your characters move more limber and smooth would be great too. So far the characters movement is very robotic compared to today's MMO.


Yes, the game is based on RvR, but it's Eye Candy and good PvE content that will catch the attention of today's gamer.

I'm not saying to add PvE content. Just polish it up to meet today's standards.


Dark Age of Camelot is the best MMO I've ever had the pleasure of playing, but if it were to have these things implemented into it, it would shoot the number of active players well over 100k.


There are people that play Warhammer Online that never heard of Dark Age of Camelot. That's sad concidering both games were made by Mythic.

Re-releaseing the game after an overhaul with commercial advertisement would change all that.

Warhammer's UI is absolute trash... they dont need to bring that garbage to DAoC.
how does the loot system in WAR prevent ninjas? .. everyone just hits need, and it assigns the loot to random group mate... so its exactly the same as daoc except in daoc looting can be done quickly and efficiently with a few key strokes instead of having to move the mouse to the stupid loot box and clicking need for every single piece of loot.

how is finding a group any difrent in either game? you use LFG or you talk to players... the only thing difrent is WAR has a window to monitor warband members were in daoc you cant see health/power/end of battlegroup... but they cant realy make a graphical window for that very easily unless they start limiting how many people can be in a BG ...

all objects in daoc can already be moved around the screen, most of them can be changed in size.... the only exception is the debuff/buffs window cant be moved.

i've actualy always loved the default camelot UI ... its clean and simple, not overly complicated.

DAoC's engine is fine... it is an updated engine, its been updated many times... and DAoC engine is capable of doing everything modern engines are.. because alot of the modern engines out there are the same as DAoC's engine... thats because DAoC uses gamebryo a leased engine used by many other games

the look and feel of DAoC isnt a limitation of the game engine.. it looks like it does as a design decision by the art department... no matter what you change in the engine the look of DAoC will remain the same because that is how they want it to look.

No. Bad. These are not the most pressing issues DAoC has to deal with.

Asking for UI and engine updates only serves as a distraction from the real issues.

Yes we all know that the bug and lag issues need to be dealt with first. ghosting, flight jumping, ect.


I'm talking about what is needed to be put into the game, not taken out. The future is Utility & Features.

I'd be happy to see sum simple things,that would improve the game enjoyment,ten fold.


1-Cut the time in the boat in NF in half.


2-Allow 2 realms in DF at all times or allow last realm in for a few hours..


3-Put npc buffers in the BG's.


4-Increase buff pots to last an hour or make champ buffs better.


5-Allow char copies to Mordred.


anyways,canceled AGAIN and im sure I will be back someday AGAIN lol

I agree. This will help those that don't like long travels.

Not sure many will agree on this. Most want to be in DF stress free.

This is 100% needed and also have them placed in NF.


4-Increase buff pots to last an hour or make champ buffs better.

This also would help greatly. People work so hard for something, the reward may as well be worth it.


5-Allow char copies to Mordred.

This sadly is not a good idea for this low of a population. It would kill the Ywain Cluster = Kill the Game.

Also how does anyone not find Ywain ruleset more of a PvP set up than Mordrid?

Being able to walk through the enemies castles unharmed is PvP? Being able to talk with the enemy is PvP?

DF isnt suppose to be stress free.. its supose to be contested land... sure its not as hostile as the frontiers, but its still suppose to have some threat level, so having an access grace period between change over would actualy make sense...

Oh and one more thing. Could you please nerf the Interupts down to a 1sec reset?

Right now the reset is at 3sec. That gives a caster no chance once a melee character jumps him.


P.S. "Clear Cast" isn't always 100% and the cooldown is rediculous.
