Its been five years since I left. Just got back in Late Dec. and there are DEFINITE problems I see that have been made worse since I left.

Class balance's Since I have left Mid has seen nerf after Nerf AFTER NERF. mid casters seem to have gotten the worst of it. BD life tap nerfed to a 10 sec timer. Warloc's chambers on a 8 sec timer a MAJOR rearrange of their spell lines and not for the better IMHO. yet Vamps still run around with 1.5 sec claw spam for over 500 With virtually true sight from OF. Necros can tank full groups of stealthers.

Still after countless suggestions no way to Hold a shot on an archer class.

The dumbing down of song classes. it used to take skill to twist songs now you get to run 2 songs only way to make it a challenge is to twist 4 songs.

As of last patch the return of the "" double attack"" spam on dual wield classes( atleast in mid)

They did FINALY fix savages. thumbs up on this < took you long enough >

As I dont play the other realms I have no opinion on changes made there but from what I have seen since my return they have not seen much in the down side in the past 5 years please inform me if I am incorrect.

BDs are still a great class regardless of their lifetap adjustment which was needed.

Mid caster groups are amazing.
The problem is you're looking at them individually when Mythic balances per realm.

All these things were needed. It comes off like you are sad there are no more easy mode classes. I am not saying that is what you believe, but that is how it comes out. There are plenty of better examples to use.


As was already said, BD's are still a great class and to think that the mere 10s CD on their insta life tap was an unecessary nerf shows how potentially baised you are. Also, warlocks needed a chamber nerf and actually I prefer their new lines over their old ones.


Now, again. That isn't saying there aren't glaring class imbalances that either go completely unnoticed or show a clear baised. This is Mythic though and there has always been head scratching moments in terms of class balance. /shrug

I mean, Mid casters are phenominal, you just can't hit 2 buttons and win on a warlock anymore, and you can't hit 1 button and win on a BD anymore. Not only that, but mid has gotten some pretty amazing boosts over the years. For example, Valkyries are no longer the most useless class in the game like they were 5 years ago.

To continue beating the BD horse.. The nerf from 4 to 10 second insta-LT on BD was indeed needed. What you do not see are the pet love they got.

In addition to the STILL existing pets-through-keep-doors bug, the commander pet gets shield slams and combat styles, plus charge, and the minion pets also follow the commander around assisting on targets. On a full melee pet train, they can and do 1 hit casters in the Battleground, or 2 hit if they get the Slam off.

No tradeoff, imo.

Let's only mention the nerfs and not the boosts... maybe after 5 years, you really should have a closer look at what has been done... BD pets are now on steroids, valks have gotten a heal line AND charge, mids in general now have 3 charge tanks (vs 2 on hibs and 1 on albs), savages well you already know.. charge, old RR5 now in their spell line, higher double/tripple/quad hits, zerker getting a super RR5 (esp vs BM/merc), warlocks being able to powerless spreadheal every 1.5seconds, or dumping a huge amount of damage into a target in a split second uninterruptable, mids and hibs having uninterruptable PBAOE.. and the list goes on...

There's a reason why there are so mids on Ywain.
