If daoc now was'nt so horribly broken, buggy, laggy etc. and csr/dev active support virtually nonexistent this would be alot more amusing...but really it's not.

It's not a joke that we still pay good money for this sh*t.

Fix the dam game.

Maybe it's just me but I can't find it funny when they put fake notes on the Herald when the real patch notes are nowhere to be found. This task is apparently not something that our new community manager is capable of doing or willing to do, but he can find time to put out fake notes ... makes you wonder what priorities are really important to him...

The notes for 1.100-1.107 on the Herald do not exist.

CLearly, you have not been around long, or are just simply blind\retarded. The patch notes are temporarily *down* because it is April 1st, hence the joke of notes. Now if I need to explain what today is, then there is definitely something wrong. Maybe you should relax and just enjoy the day, go outside, and stay off the computer for the day. Seems like someone pissed in your cheerios this morning, and now you hate April Fools Day.

Clearly you did not read my post.

The old patch notes going back to May 2009 DO NO EXIST on the Herald. If you follow the links I provided you will not find the actual patch notes that are supposed to be there but are not there.

It's not like this is the first time I posted about this or like I did not call, write and PM Mythic in every way imaginable to get them to fix the problem.

They altered the system after 1.000 iirc, probably due to the version number format being changed. Now patch notes are no longer recorded by the herald as seperate pages, they just delete/update the same page every time a new patch is cycled.

Not a bug, working as intended.

as for the april foolery, last year was a bit better.

Yes, Rekk I'm aware of how they changed the patch notes but there is NO excuse for them not being on the Herald. If you go back and look at the 1.106 notes you will find they listed the entirety of it on the appropriate link.

If Kai can find time to create and post fake notes how hard can it be to find the missing patch notes and copy and paste them onto the Herald where they are missing ? He obviously has the capability to fix the problem but no desire or will to do so - oh and same with the now departed Andy Belford who was also made aware of the problem and did not fix them.

The pages you linked were only the front page articles, you notice all of them have links to:

http://www.camelotherald.com/patches.php?mode=live

there is only a single page now, knowing mythic they dont keep a record of the previous patch notes around anymore either. They transfered to a new system, and lost 8 patch notes... not really a big deal tbh.

however, all those patch notes have been posted on these VN boards by sombody at some point or another. full postings, not links. If you need to find them just look around a little.

Believe me I have looked for the full notes everywhere but guess what ? all of the results I found all show the same linking back to the current live notes.

Yes, I even looked at the posting history of the automatic patch note publisher VN_whatever it's called and still can't find the actual notes.

Oh and a new system that doesn't actually leave the old notes somewhere to be read is just not excusable. It would take someone about 2 minutes to fix the problem with a good old copy and paste job... I honestly think that from talking to them on the phone about this that they do not have the missing patch notes which is why they can't publish them now.

That was actually very funny. If they really implemented housing invasion, I would have to seriously consider resubscribing.

The sad thing is, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of these things implemented in future patches.

I realize it didn't take much time to write this (or shouldn't have) and uploading it even less, but...

Where are the bug fixes we've been promised? Where is the end to lag ghosts? Why when I take a lowbie into an aurulite dungeon in Nisse's Lair do I pop out in Mularn (and never enter the dungeon)? Why do realm mates and guild mates have bugs where they cannot see certain (grouped) characters?

Really, only when the work is done should one waste time on frippery.

yeah the housing invasion would have been sweet. They should just do it IMO... maybe without the items and trophy stealing.

Thought the part about pet pathing being fixed was pretty funny.
