Why are NS's casting every second and doing 300-380 damage?


If you designed this ability to be used by NS's that will opt for getting plus spell damage gear, etc and also took into consideration that they will no longer be using PA to begin attacks, but instead, MoS 8+ and casting spells then please excuse this post.


I just find it hard to believe that this is what you anticipated happening to the stealth game. It is a complete failure in every way possible. Please fire the guy who came up with this, and then reduce the damage output by 50%.

That does it I'm leveling an infiltrator. Said I'd never play another assassin but your incessant whining is just too much for me to handle. Every day it's something new, to the point where I'm starting to question whether or not you're actually a retard, or if the game really is broken. Time to find out firsthand.

this is just lol... are you seriously that bad at playing? If you had 100 nightshades lined up and nuked you once from each nightshade the damage will all be different. Its all down to template and what they have in it. Some nightshade players have designed templates for casting by setting up certain RA's to boost the damage etc...


oh and MoS only affects Archers v Assassins and vise versa not Assassins v Assassins as it makes no difference but enhance speed when moving.

I play all 3 kinds of assasins. Nightshades have habitually been on the bottom. Yes, nightshade magic is currently a little overpowered, but infiltrators still have more spec points and the ability to spec high in dw and cs. Nightshade casters are a current abberation that I am certain will be corrected or toned down. Give me a break, for almost 9 years infiltrators have been tops on the assasin food chain. MOS does NOT effect the nightshade's ability to detect other assasins.

NS shouldn't nuke so hard. Their acuity stat is easily 380+, which is also their casting speed stat (dex).


A properly templated NS will nuke as hard or harder than a thane, who specs 50 and is also templated for spell damage.

There's no reason to roll an Inf just to prove that Shadora is bad, it's pretty obvious. Infs can absolutely destroy stuff, they are fine. And if there is anything to nerf about the NS, it's their rr5, though Inf's is nearly as good anymore

I agree that NS are the top assassin right now, but the gap is so small, it's barely there - it's not like pre-1.62 SBs, 9sec DF Infiltrators, or Shades when they were the only ones with Remedy.

When I hit a few Shades on the Inf or SB, I'd much rather the ones I'm not currently attacking start nuking me rather than side stun me or Garrote me to allow their buddy to run away. Just mez poison or drop a poison spike and they stand there like idiots for a couple of seconds before they can cast again.
