Not that hard to run on realm buffs with a hunter since you have spec AF and red Dex/Qui in the Archery line. You can get some extra Aug Dex to make of the difference between realm dex and standard red dex. So, yes, you can run a hunter well without a bot.

I resisted for a long time in getting some buffbots out there but finally did get a 2nd account. You can win without buff bots, but you can win alot more with them. So no they are not needed but your fights might be harder as you will not be hitting as hard or as quick etc. without the highest stats.

But just find some of us Rangers to fight, then you will win everytime without buffs even, we Rangers need some love bad...

I'd say they are necessary. Honestly, just join a guild and bum from them. Even asking in /region generally gets buffs from someone.

I've never had a buffbot in almost a decade of playing this game, but I played Mordred so botting was never an issue for me.

Necessary? No. A good template and realm buffs will get you by fine.

A good idea? Yes. Buffbots do give you a significant advantage, even over realm buffs. I wouldn't say they are mandatory but they sure as hell are nice to have.

Buffbots neccessary? No. As some of the above posters said realm buffs are viable. Join a guild or just ask in region; there are plenty of generous people out there that will lend you some buffage. Welcome back happy hunting.

join a guild and stealth zerg (everyone does it! i would too if my ns was temped!) and youll get buffs,

or roll a toon that isnt buff depandant like a vamp! (i have a vamp! he so cheesy!)

leveling is so fast that it shouldnt take more than a week to get 50 with casual play time

Asking for buffs in /region will generally yield some buffs, the NPC buffs are ok but you can see the difference between NPC and bot buffs.
