Maybe i would have more fun if i just started a new account and just made 1 toon and stuck with it. Before i quit last i was playing multiples and was annoyed. What do you think would be a best bet for solo pve/pvp. Im thinking SB or Skald. I have both already but I just want to start new and get a new feel for the game ground up. Of course ill transfer all my belongings over but after that no more old main account.

Anyone else thought about this? Maybe it would be a nice fresh feel for you to come back too. Now that basically you can level all the way up in the BG's.

I can see into your future, its filled with level 24 BG toons. If you used to level alot of toons , you`ll do that again, i`ve seen it numerous times.

Just play what you want, all classes are fairly balanced these days. I started from scratch about a month ago and have a level 50 that I am having fun with. Did not take too long to level at all. I would recommend getting RR2 in Molvik but then once you can no longer get any RRs then truck your way to 50. At level 10 just do the BG quest and you will have level 30 in no time.

I did this a while back and rolled an Infiltrator. It was fun and fresh because I had never played Albion before so it was a different experience. But after a while I got impatient of being broke and having to farm coin and items.

So it was a little fun, but starting over at RR1 in RvR is when I ran out of patience

Starting at RR1 is great! You get RR's so fast!

RR3 - RR4 in a week depending on how much you play.

The money wouldnt be a problem. I think my old main account still has around 800p and i still have all my 30ish toons templated to sell that stuff.

I started a Norse Zerker because it was the only toon I haven't really spent any time on. I decided no /level and no buffbots from my other account. No making gear with my crafters or any assistance whatsoever from my other toons. I ran through the entire starter area and just finished it at level 13 lol. I'm playing it really casual now (a big change from years past) and logging on twice a week for an hour or so. Its actually been kinda fun. Just very little interaction with anyone else which is sad. Mostly because these new quests are so hand holding and easily soloable. Plus all the instanced Catacombs stuff ect. I kinda wish it was still needed to group with others to complete some quests.

They really do need to bring group stuff back and incentive to group. Not just aurulite rewards and stuff. When i do start again i will go solo for the most part all the way up. I'm more solo minded but if there was incentive to group for something that could really help my toon out then for sure id be grouping. Right now the way it is, there is no need to group for anything. I'm sure ill have fun leveling and im going to try and do so in the classic zones or SI, those places used to drop decent rog stuff and some better than aurulite gear.

I agree with you on the incentive to group. But I'm concerned it will be a "wow" like incentive. In other-words, this mob is uterrly unkillable without 2+ people, and you just snag a wondering noob or one other guy on the same quest, pound it out in 5min or less and then go your separate ways.

The most fun I had grouping in DAOC was back when there was hardly any quests and the only way to gain levels was to beat the crap outa stuff. So you had wondering groups of people who would just snatch up soloers by saying "hey dude, we are just gonna roam and beat the snot outa Vendo or Tomte for a while, want to join?" Now its open ended invitation and you actually socialize and have a good time with them instead of just bolting soon as the boss is dead because you have 100 other solo quests in your queue.

Well there could always be a long step by step group quest that would drag out until later in your levels. Stuff you would need a full group to do, each step giving better coin/exp and a different loot table. Say you start this group quest at lvl 10 and it goes until your level 24 or so ready for the BG's. After that another from 25-35 and so on. All the way up to 50. You'd have to make it fun, like going through swarms to get to the main guy in the quest or something along those lines. Kinda like the champ quests and how long it is drawn out. If they had something like that for Groups with an end result kinda like the Champ weapon people would do it. Or if the end result was like Medal of Honor. People would do this. Having each of these quests tie into each other. Like if you havent done the 10-24 group quests you cant do the 40-50 quests.
