What antivirus are you running?

When you say that you reinstalled the OS, does that mean from a provided restore disk or from a Microsoft Windows install disk?

When I say reinstalled, that means I set my primary boot to boot from CD, Format the drive for a clean install using the CD straight from Microsoft's press (Genuine) and I install.

For Antivirus, I am running Webroot Internet Security Essentials. Checked the rules for game.dll as well as the actual launcher and they all are correct.

Just as a test, for elimination purposes, I would suggest that you try running the game without Webroot Internet Security Essentials installed. Not just disabled, but uninstalled.

I also agree with this.. Webroot, used to be a very good, and small package.. But, over the years, its grown into a bloated blob.
Uninstall it, and give it a go.

Saddly this is the route of most good anti-virus. Vista/Win7 went a different route than XP in the way access to system files is concerned. You can easily run without anti-virus for a while safely, I would give that a shot. Or just switch to MS security essentials which is free and much more light-weight.

Welp, it's definately not my power supply. Checked it with a multi-meter. everything is good to go, as expected since the problem is with JUST this game, not every game I run. I will definately try uninstalling webroot.
