You had made a comment in an earlier thread about Enchanters being a joke.( joke isn't the terminology you used, it's just a generalized slang term I used )
My question is....
Did you mean they were a joke as compared to the other pet classes to the realms?
- Bone Dancer for Mid
- and for Albion; the Necro, Cabalist, Minst, Sorc.
or
Did you mean as a Nuker DPS class they pale in comparison against the other realms?
- their damage output?
- or their secondary abilities?

Enchanters. Worthless things really. All they do is yell DEBUFF DEBUFF PEEL PEEL ASSIST ASSIST SOMEBODY REZ and die. Can't be bothered with them.

dont get me wrong i love em they can interrupt up to 3 people without using cast time but they have no escape mechanism

Ok, so it is their lack of a basic crowd control skill that makes them less effective than their cross realm counterparts.
Essentially, a root, mez, or even a snare.
The stun is not really a CC ability.
No complaints about there damage output then? Just a lack of being able to kite effectively A soft defensless target that requires too many group resources to keep alive that doesn't net a return of a bunch of rps? But ends up with a dead enchanter anyway regardless of the effort put forth to keep him up?

The damage is pretty good yes. Just really crappy utility.

I don't believe it's just a question of utility.
When we talk about chanter, we usually mean mana-spec. Like there's nothing else. And this is because the baseline nuke is heat-based, heat being the worst possible resist to nuke upon overall: mid will always have a red shaman resist, and now that cleric+friar pairs are popular, it's ridiculous.
This tends to discard heat damage as a useful damage-type on hibernia, which directly cripples light chanters, light mentalists, and indirectly mana chanters, as they won't be needed to debuff for anyone else but light elds, generally on the cold resist which forces the chanter to debuff more, thus nuking less.
Originally Mythic gave the stupid 15% heat debuff to the fire spec nuke because wizards were facing red heat resists, whichever realm they encountered, and they were supposed to do damage.
Light spec(or even void)casters on hibernia all have a damage issue, the very same wizards had, and the only answer given to this day has been an AE spec nuke for the light chanter to use, which can't easily be used for obvious CC-management reasons.
Look at arb animists and fire wizards: they don't have much to deal with charge tanks on them either, or even general utility. But their high, sustained, damage makes up for it.

animists can backload like none other, use tanglers and petspam the backfield. wizards have disease ns and bolts. chanters have dmg debuff and dehaste?
