You should have merged your accounts then you would have been able to manage your bot account and your main account with a single login.
Your login name (EA Account) is the email address that was emailed with the account closed notification I believe.

And yes, I've tried the full email address in addition to the same old account name that has been good up till now.
My XXXXXXX_EU account name renewed fine 5 minutes previously.

Tried the email thing, it just sends me to the account that is already open.. and now it won't even let me do that.. and what is the whole merge thing about? i saw no option for that..

I called support today and the woman was very helpful. It took about 10 minutes overall but most of that was just processing the account changes. Apparently the email associated with the account was an '@home.com' email. Which is comcast circa 2k1, and is no longer valid.
Basically tell them that your account is closed but the management page is not working for you even though you have the correct information. They'll want your user name, your first and last name, and the secret word for the account. The secret word will have a hint, so don't fret about that. The hint will be something like "mother's maiden name" which was a releif since my account is 10 years old and I was afraid I wouldn't remember it.

Sorry but not all secret words have a hint. Mine does not.
When I started my account they (Mythic) did not give a good explanation as to how important a secret word would/could be in the future. Back then they did not have hints, suggestions, etc . . .
I am not sure what my secret word is anymore. DAoC is one of the first subscription games I played and back then I did not know who Mythic was or if I could trust them. I recall thinking, “Do I want to give this unknown company a secret word that I use for my banking or other important things (like ‘Mothers Maiden Name’ or ‘High School’ or ‘Pets Name’ or etc . . .)? and I thought “No! I do not.†so I picked something obscure.
What obscure thing I picked I no longer remember, as it happened 10 years ago. I just hope there is never a reason for me to need my secret word.

Only option is to verify yourself by other means, but they haven't any written policy regarding that.

i tried to log in, it said i needed to make a ea account, i put in my email address... it said already used.... i created an account using a difrent email address.... then went to the link accounts page, linked all my daoc accounts.... done...
you dont need to know the email address that was used on the daoc account, you only have to create an EA account and then go to the link accounts page and put in daoc account names/passwords.
its not that difficult at all.
