Strangely enough, the username I have been using for years that is referred to in the end of subscription email you sent to me today is an actual account name.

Your subscription for Bioware Mythic Dark Age of Camelot for Game Account XXXXXXX has ended for the following reason:
Subscription is not set to renew


On the off chance I am suffering from some sort of neurological or carpal disorder that prevents me from typing that username correctly, I asked your account management system to change the password for that very same account name. To which it replied via email

Bioware Mythic received a request to change your EA Account password for XXXXXXX.
To continue changing the password for this account, click here.


and after changing the password for the same username I've been using for 5 years I'm still getting the error
Account name must be in a valid format (ie. name@foo.com)

And yes, I've tried the full email address in addition to the same old account name that has been good up till now.
My XXXXXXX_EU account name renewed fine 5 minutes previously.

Sort it out.

Btw, being presented with an FAQ about server transfers in Warhammer when clicking the support link is feck all use to a DaoC player.

Out of curiosity, have you ever used the same account name for a warhammer account in the past?

I started a daoc trial on my warhammer account about a week ago. I did change the email listed for my old DAoC account to the same one used for the war accnt...

[edit:] hmmm....master account....

I did the return to game trial and my account expired. I know this because when I entered my username and password it said so and then forwarded to their website. However when I try to use that same username and password on the accounts page it tells me that the info is wrong. I know the username and password is correct because I can try to login to the game client with the wrong password, and it tells me that the password is wrong, ergo if it recognizes my usernmame/pass and tells me the account is closed, then I have the correct usernmame/password


Which leads me to the following:


1. I cannot activate my account.

2. The support link at eamythic.accounts.com leads to a warcraft page

1a. The warcraft page wants me to login for support

3. There is apparently no support.


WTF

no kidding! my account closed and i was forwarded to this nightmare of your account information doesnt exist, followed by you cant create a new master account because one exists to this email adress. so you do a lost password and it says the master account does not exist. so i go into t alive chat with Deborah from EA and she says how can i help you .. and i explain i need to reactivate the account. she says... it is active... and i say no it is not active, my bot account is active and i cannot log into my main account. so she is gone a few mins, says do you want to merge the accounts? I said merge? no i just want to reopen the account. so she says i need the login name of the account and the domain.. and i said domain of what? she waits and then asks what is the game code for the account? i said, what game code i pay by credit card... and i get I need the cd key from the account.. which was opened up at BETA.. I then told her, you know this is the problem with EA games, they will buy anything and destroy the game because they have idiots working for them. she then reque'd me... what the heck are they doing over there? doesnt anyone ever test something before they make changes? is the company run by monkeys?
