It depends on what you're looking for. Fire wizards are the best pure dps caster in the game. That's pretty much all they are. I'd personally rather have any other dps caster in that spot in a rvr group, just because any other caster is going to offer better utility and still do decent dps. A lot of people love having that heavy dps in group...I'm just not one of them.

wizards have little utility if fire. if you bad at casters(like i used to!) its the class for you, just toss out the occasional nearsight root shit that needs roots but mainly, just blow shit up.

once you start to get the rust off, you can roll a cabby/theurg/eld/runie whatever, something with a little more to do than just nuke nuke nuke nuke nuke nuke nuke nuke nuke ect...
