Lets review:

First: I state that sellers are pricing their items too low, because of dead merchants creating the illusion of a market that demands the low prices of yesteryear.

I explain why this is happening, that I am serious about my original post, and that I am sitting on a large supply of these items, and simply will not sell them at these depressed prices that are based on a false perception of the fair market value.

After I clearly state that prices are being artificially held low, I have a large supply, and wont sell till I get fair market value, you then accuse me of only wanting to sell things at retardedly high prices.

In response to your accusation, I explain that I have ways of making money that don't gouge, or rip people off. I respond by explaining that I have no desire to charge retardedly high prices, that I only want people to get fair market value.

Once again my sincerity is questioned, so I respond that I am indeed sincere.

You ridicule this, and call me a con man, sales man. You judge me in spite of the facts supporting my whole point. In the same breath that you call me a sales/con man, you accuse me of wanting to take the money out of people's pockets even though my comments can only be interpreted one way: To put money IN people's pockets.

You then continue with this gem:
Vyxar posted: "ou keep throwing it out there like OMG YOU COULD BE PASSING UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE BAZILLIONS OF PLATS? Frankly, your "insight" or "system" or w/e you are calling it is nothing new, nothing special, and nothing but annoying vn spam.

Tell me, what “system” or “insight” am I trying to sell? You don't seem to be able to define it, yet you are able to dismiss it as nothing new or special. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell you're talking about here.

At this stage, your straw man of me is complete.

You accuse me of being a thief, essentially, that Im somehow trying to pull the wool over people's eyes. You cast me as ingenuous, as some sort of charlatan. And when I respond, explaining that I am in fact trying to be helpful, “honest, and accurate."
you have the gall to post this drivel...

“You seem to have a strong need to be perceived as nice.”

LOL. That's comical. You seem to have a strong need to ignore facts, be argumentative, and avoid the actual core of the message.

But you keep beating that straw man. You'll win, I promise!
But the fact remains. There is a problem with the dead merchants.
It's having an impact on pricing and the fair market value of items.

I take it you're more of a buyer than a seller?

I don't think this guy is getting it.I'll simplify it for him.He buys items from market for the low price of X. He turns around and sells the item for the higher price of X, while someone else has the lower price of Y. He is ripping people off that really don't have much plat, by selling A item for X amount while someone else that recently sold same item, for Y amount now has less plat because this guy bought A item for Y price. This is a rip off for those that have been trying to make plat, but, because of the market have not been able to sell their items. Then this guy comes along and raises the prices on things. This is where the market just becomes stupid.

I don't think you understand what "fair market value" is. Here's a hint, the market decides what the fair value of any item is, not you. Just because you're incapable of getting 20p for an item that costs 8p, doesn't mean that its 8p price isn't fair. You want more for those items, that is your price, what you believe the price should be, but you don't set market value; the people buying the items do.

So let me make sure I got this...

Instead of helping lower the price, and in return actually bolstering the economy which bolsters the game as a whole, you want to fix this "loop hole" so you can sell things at outlandish prices that only the elite/hardcore can afford, or force players, mainly casual and/or new/returning players, into buying gold from gold sellers.

Instead of playing the market like wall street and hurting the game further, this level of effort would benefit the game significantly more if you helped fix inflated values.

I don't want to farm for 834737847328472384723894756 hours to buy 1 piece of item. I want to enjoy this game. You are in effect helping to further the wealth gap and for that, I give you no e-props.

This is the attitude Mythic needs to reign in but apparently never really will.

To survive I need water. I can't afford water on my own though.

Solution 1) Spend weeks farming in the hopes of getting 1 character enough "water". Just 1 character though...

Solution 2) Spend real cash and get it instantly, yet feed a beast

Solution 3) Stop playing

Solution 1 and Solution 2 have a high chance of resulting in Solution 3 coming about regardless.

I fail to see how telling other people that they can sell their items for higher amounts is a bad thing.

WRONG! Supply and demand. If he can sell it for a bagillion plat, then someone can come along and actually undersell him and take his business. If something is plentiful and easy to get, a majority will just get it themselves rather than buy it. And he can't charge the amount he would. If it's hard to get, then he can sell it higher. All he is saying is that there are items that ARE hard to get that a few people are able to farm, yet they price it low because they think some of these dead-house merchants are selling it low, when in fact no one can actually buy it at that price.

They need to start teaching economics at public schools again.

I think the word "need" is a little misleading. The "must have" gear this game has is ridiculous, it just depends on what day of the week it is. There was a time when no one bothered with legendary weapons, yet they have returned. Champ weapons made way for dragon drops, then dragon weapons, then ML 10 weapons. I doubt there is really anything you "need" in this game, just gear you desire.
