Or maybe they realize that the game has been reduced to a Main keep, main bridge caster camping cluster f?
Other then 8v8 in agramon and pre primetime solo/duo/smallman with simular nummbered opposition ( wich is like never ) this game is not very enjoyable.
Nobody can sit here and claim with a straight face that getting nuked from a caster you cannot see for 800 dmg / 1.1 s is funny and entertaining.
Having a long drawn out small scale melee encounter is extremly funny and entertaining win draw or loose. Just delete casters from the game and it would already be improved 1000%.
Nobody travels in this game and that is like 90% of the problem, everyone hangs around the bridges wich creates fights that are frustrating and not fun. We got the doorstepping ADD kids that do not understand the term sportsmanship and they do not understand that other actual people take the time to boat/run for several mins to them yet they have no problem outnummbering them 5:1 leaving no uncertainy of the outcome of the fight. Flat out stacking the odds, that is what is sucking the life out of this game. This can only be changed by changing the frontier layout, or nerfing casters dps so they no longer can dish out dps on the same level wich would make it harder for stationary/doorstepping people to vulture.
Imagine that DAoC used to be a proffesional soccer/football league where you had to go up early every weekday and run 10 miles, eat raw eggs and other nasty protien stuff so you could play matches on the weekend, 11 vs 11 with certain rules that most people would follow most of the time - the odd foul here and there you'd take on the chin and jogg on.
Then...imagine steroids, now you no longer have to get up early and work on your cardio, you could just 'roid up and be just as beefed up as the next guy..on match day you just brought all your other roided up friends and played 55 vs 11 - the ref stopped comming to your team's games so who gives a flying f about committing a foul? The other team can go f themsleves anyway right?
In the end all other players left your league and the guy that brought the football picked up golf instead.. :/
